ABOUT US

As "social entrepreneurs, we are a tremendous asset to the non-profit sector. We bring over 60 years of business and corporate experience to our organization.

Robert Pio Hajjar

IDEAL-WAY.ca was conceived by Robert to aid persons with intellectual disabilities, like him.

Having honestly earned his official title as Founder of IDEAL-WAY.ca in 2006, Robert remains actively involved, clearly making a difference in the disabled world. He strongly believes that most of his intellectually disabled peers are, unfairly and needlessly, kept excluded and poor in our midst of plenty.

Robert brings to IDEAL-WAY.ca 30 years of experience in actually living with an intellectual disability. Down syndrome has been a big challenge, and his contribution is the greatest gift to our charitable organization…. direct knowledge of what life is like for him and his peers. Nobody else can truly know what it is like to walk in their shoes. Robert’s determination has allowed him to live a meaningful life and his many achievements are well beyond society’s expectations. Robert is living proof that individuals like him are capable of so much more.

In the months ahead, the world of intellectually disabled will be hearing a great deal more about this charismatic, extraordinarily high-functioning 30 years old gentleman with Down syndrome.

With his great personality, big heart, very positive attitude and outlook, Robert is a key spokesperson for IDEAL-WAY.ca. He is always willing and available to participate in regular education forums, public speaking venues, etc. involving schools, corporations, churches and the public.

An active contributor to IDEAL-WAY.ca in many ways, Robert is an articulate voice for his peers who can not speak, e.g. Robert is currently scheduled to speak at, among other venues, Bloorview Kids Rehab hospital on the topic of "Growing UP with DOWN syndrome". If we allow him, and persons like him, we can learn from them what matters most in life.

Addie J. Daabous

With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, she started her first business upon graduating from University of Windsor at age 21. Addie brings over 22 years of experience in international retail, marketing, importing/exporting, commodities and sales.

Addie’s business bona fides include Ministry of Trade & Technology Award for Most Successful Business in Southwestern Ontario as well as being nominated for the Good Neighbours Business Excellence Award through the Chamber of Commerce. In addition, she has personally sponsored and chaired frequent major fundraisers in aid of persons with intellectual disabilities.

A social entrepreneur, personifying the term “people person”, Addie’s dedication and passion for helping people, and her inspiring leadership, clearly shows that she is capable of making IDEAL-WAY.ca a successful, dedicated, well recognized and highly respected charitable organization.

Donald G. Yeo

Donald’s openness and respect for others makes him accountable for commitments, results, clients, partners and employees. As a social entrepreneur, his unimpeachable integrity and his passion for these exceptional individuals is spiritually refreshing and endearing on many levels.

Bringing to IDEAL-WAY.ca his impressive credentials for successful business startups, Donald delivers on the IDEAL-WAY.ca Mission with his brightness, steadiness, natural “outside the box” creativity and energetic personality.

A Founder of five successful national companies, and three international companies, including 23 offices around the world with “breakthrough” bio-technology in the oil industry, Donald’s most publicly known business success resulted from focussing on the design, development, and manufacture of ‘leading edge’ environmentally sound products and services. During that time he researched, designed, obtained a patent for, and started to manufacture the original custom-designed ‘Blue Box®’ for post-consumer household curbside recycling.

Donald’s proven consistent ability and willingness to take on big projects and see them through to success is a solid, major asset for our organization.
